How is artificial intelligence changing the way we teach and learn? At the University of Göttingen’s university-wide AI in Studies and Teaching Day on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, the SUB Göttingen will also be present with an information stand in the ZHG, providing information on AI-powered research tools and their use in academic studies and research.

The programme begins at 9:00 in the Central Lecture Hall Building (ZHG) with talks, workshops and information stands. At 17:00, business informatics expert Professor Doris Weßels from Kiel University of Applied Sciences, will speak in Lecture Hall ZHG 105 on the topic „AI agents at the gates: higher education under the AI stress test“.

All interested members of the university community are warmly invited. To ensure that all members of the university can take part, regular classes will be suspended on this day. Most programme items are in German, but selected ones are in English.

Following renovation work, the Forestry Divisional Library (BBF) will be fully open again from Monday 13 April, with all services available: the reading room, study rooms, textbook loans and returns, and library computers are all available once more. Printing and photocopying are also available. The library is open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 8 pm. Please note: the library is not currently available for use as an open library.
